This is where I put the stuff I like a lot! I'm a huge nerd for video games, music, and anime. This stuff is not listed in any particular order but you'll know it's special if i rant about it for a second lol.
My favorite video games!
- Halo: CE - Literally the first video game I ever played, I remember being like 4 and crying so hard when I saw the flood lmao
- Halo 2 - I hate that this is usually seen as the troublesome middle child of the original trilogy becase this game was so genuinely ahead of it's time with how cinematic it was.
- Halo 3 - I think Halo 3 is the objectively better game in a lot of ways but my favorite is Halo 2
- Halo: Reach
- Halo 3: ODST - That's all for the Halos genuinely screw the rest they are so bad and I hate 343 so much for ruining the franchise </3
- Gears of War
- Gears of War 2 - The first time I played this game as a kid the worm level almost made me shit my pants I was so scared lmao
- Gears of War 3 - Whole original trilogy was so peak
- Skyrim - IMO objectively a bad game in a lot of ways but the depth of worldbuilding in the Elder Scrolls games is insane and the lore is nuts
- Rain World - RAIN WORLD IS SO FUCKING COOL AND NOBODY GETS IT GO PLAY IT PLAY IT NOW!!
- Doom
- Doom II
- Doom 3 - Underrated and overhated imo
- Doom 2016
- Doom Eternal - I think this is like a pretty lukewarm take but I think this game is currently the best fps in the world. Like I don't even know what else to say, peak is peak man.
- Titanfall 2 - Genuinely one of the most underrated games in existence it is a TRAVESTY that this game got overshadowed by CoD
- Spyro the Dragon
- Spyro: Ripto's Rage! - This game is so cozy I love it
- Spyro: Year of the Dragon
- Shellshock Live - Optimal game for enjoyably wasting time
- Elden Ring - I don't really know what to say except that this game blew my fucking mind for 300 hours and then I never touched it again 10/10 peak is peak
- GTA: San Andreas - One of the first games I ever played and was the game I played the most in my early childhood by a longshot, I haven't played this game in like 10 years but I probably have like 1,000 hours on it
- Army of Two
- Army of Two: 40th Day - This game is unfathomably peak for its time I have no idea how it isn't that popular. Played this game on repeat with my little brother so many times
- Just 'Cause 3 - Another game that is so indubitably peak and I have no idea how it isn't like a top 10 game of all time. Highly recommend it to anyone
- Crossout - This is a very shameful entry. I do NOT recommend this game to ANYONE but that didn't stop me putting 2,500 hours into it. Oops. Genuinely such a unique game with such wasted potential. This is totally me bragging, but I was in around the top 100 players on console before I quit, but I think that mostly speaks to the game's player count lol
- War Thunder
- Helldivers 2 - Arrowhead better get their head in the game istg, imagine striking so much success and hype so quickly just to steadily burn it down like they are
- Call of Duty 2: Big Red One - One of the first games I ever played on the ps2, I loved the bomber levels
- Call of Duty: World at War - Most older CoD games I played through once or twice and really liked but I played through this one a lot more
- Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
- Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
- Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3
- Call of Duty: Black Ops
- Call of Duty: WWII - For whatever reason this is the only CoD I ever actually played the multiplayer, the rest I never touched multiplayer
- Apex Legends - This is the first multiplayer game I ever took seriously for whatever reason. I think the first three seasons were SO good and I had so much fun but after that it really fell off imo and i stopped playing around season 9 with around 1,800 hours. Was never that good at it though lol
- PUBG - This was kind of my first online multiplayer experience, I remember having a lot of fun and I miss when I could play a multiplayer game without feeling the need to be competitive, I honestly avoid pvp multiplayer these days for that reason
- Stardew Valley - I <3 Maru <3<3<3
- Deep Rock Galactic - Rock and stone!
- Sea of Thieves
- Geometry Dash - This game offers an insane amount of content for $5, I think it has to be like statistically one of the best games for its value ever. Seriously, try it if it at all interests you. The community is also super cool
- Hill Climb Racing - I still play this sometimes
- Bioshock 2
- Borderlands
- Borderlands 2 - Such a great game, no notes, just peak
- Kinectimals - I miss this game SO MUCH it was so so SO cozy but I don't have a kinect anymore and I'm pretty sure this game is nearly lost media. I cannot understate how much nostalgia I have for this game I miss my cubs so much </3
My favorite bands and songs
These'll start organized and then there'll be a few single songs I like from different artists. Honestly I'm trying to keep this part small for now because I could rant about music and even individual songs for hours. All the links here just lead to the respective song on YouTube. Any songs that lead to an unofficial video that isn't from the actual band will be marked as such, I just couldn't find official videos for all of these songs. All these links automatically open a new tab for your convenience :)
Deftones
- - Headless (This song specifically goes so insanely hard)
- - Digital Bath
- - 976-EVIL
- - ~metal dream
- - ecdysis
- - Rivière
- - Sextape
- - Entombed (Unofficial uploader)
- - I fucking love Deftones so much. They have such a way with atmosphere, it feels like listening to a song is experiencing a feeling they meant to convey. Something I've noticed in their songs is that a lot of them, actually most of them, follow a formula of pushing and pulling between atmospheric grooves and slightly heavier parts in a way that makes notes soar like I don't really hear other bands do. I'll also glaze Chino any day of the week.
Loathe
- - New Faces In The Dark
- - Two-Way Mirror
- - Gifted Every Strength
- - Is It Really You?
- - Babylon
- - Stigmata
- - Loathe is so cool, I recommend them to anyone that likes Deftones, they're really underrated. They're very Deftones inspired, I think they really nail the atmospheric groove and push/pull thing Deftones does. They've definitely got their own identity though, and their push/pull can be a lot more extreme; some of their songs will sway between shoegaze and black metal but they somehow make that feel completely natural and I love it, I love them. Their older stuff is more like metal and is less Deftones inspired but is also very good. Also, I have NO IDEA how they did it, but their album "I Let It In and It Took Everything" PERFECTLY, one-to-one, matches the vibe of Deftones' album "Koi No Yokan" You think I am shitting you or exaggerating but I am not, I swear it is like Deftones wanted to extend the album, wrote 12 more songs, but had Loathe perform them and put their own twist on them. It's a crazy parallel. Please give them a listen if you can they are so underrated.
Superheaven
- - Life In a Jar
- - Crawl
- - Youngest Daughter
- - In On It
- - Hole In The Ground
- - Blur
- - One of many very cool things about me is that I liked Superheaven way before their song "Youngest Daughter" blew up online a few years back. Anyway I think they're super cool because they land in this very grungy spot somewhere between Alice In Chains and Nirvana but they're 2010s not 90s. They've got good range between songs like "In On It" and "Hole In The Ground." Some common themes in their songs are self-loathing and grief, some of their songs resonate with me in a unique way and they're kind of a comfy artist to me.
Chevelle
- - Saferwaters
- - Send The Pain Below
- - Closure
- - Comfortable Liar
- - Fizgig
- - The Gist
- - I do dabble in some dad rock unfortunately. For whatever reason I think their song "The Gist" is like, really fucking funny. No I will not explain.
